Max Winograd, CEO/President
After scanning the country to partner with the most innovative companies and teams in homecare, Max found Lifespan to have the perfect mix: an inspiring 36-year legacy built by RNs Pam Goodman and Becky Peters and an amazing team of operators, care managers, well-being activity coordinators, and caregivers serving a progressive community at the forefront of change with a growing need for aging life care services.
Ashley Min, MHA
Chief Operating Officer
Ashley holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona and a BS in Kinesiology and Leisure Science from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Her experience includes business development, management, and health care operations. Prior to coming to Lifespan, Ashley worked as Director of Provider Relations for Radiology Medical Group.
Denise Mickel, MSG
Lifespan Care Manager
Denise received her Bachelor of Social Work at Azusa Pacific University and her Masters of Science in Gerontology from San Jose State. Denise has been in the field of aging for over 22 years working in a wide range of environments. Her experience includes skilled nursing facilities, specialized day care for persons with dementia as well as Memory Care in Assisted Living. She has also served as a Deputy Public Guardian and an Adult Protective Services Social Worker. Denise has a proven rapport with clients, families, caregivers, and peers. She specializes in dementia and mental health issues.
Pat Schauss, RN
Lifespan Care Manager
Aging Life Care Advanced Associate
Pat attended the University of Arizona for undergraduate studies and Cabrillo College for her RN degree. Pat has accrued over 20 yrs of experience in acute hospital based nursing, including cardiac care/telemetry. She also worked in home health and hospice care. Pat is certified as a pain management RN. She is a member of the Aging Life Care Association.
Saundie Isaak, MS, CMC

Saundie Isaak received her Bachelor of Art from Fresno Pacific University and a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Fresno, in Therapeutic Recreation. Her Master of Science in Health Services Administration is from Saint Mary's University. Saundie has been a Certified Care Manager since 2009. Saundie is a member of the Aging Life Care Association. She has over two decades of experience that includes skilled nursing, assisting living with memory care, independent living, and home care. She serves on the Board of Directors of Health Projects Center. Saundie's passion is providing professional guidance and support to her clients, their families, and the care team.
Alicia Cortez-Moreno, CNA, HHA
Homecare Operations Coordinator
Alicia Cortez-Moreno is a Certified Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide and has worked with Lifespan for 20 years. Alicia started at Lifespan as a Home Care Aide and quickly moved up in the Lifespan organization becoming staffing supervisor and now as our Home Care Operations Coordinator. In her current position, Alicia's primary role is to ensure that our home care aides are appropriately matched to each client. She provides additional training and support to the home care aides by making home visits for supervision and training. She is also head of Lifespan's safety team.
Steven Matzie Program Coordination Care Manager
Steven Matzie received his Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work with a focus on LGBTQ+ aging issues, from Humboldt State University. He comes to Lifespan with over three years of experience working with older adults, and has created professional relationships with many Santa Cruz County aging service providers. Steven previously worked with Senior Network Services in Santa Cruz as a case manager and resource/housing counselor where he gained experience working with a wide range of aging concerns and garnered a wealth of knowledge of community services. Steven is especially skilled in relationship building and with elders and finds great reward in working with this population. Along with his role at Lifespan, Steven is affiliated with the Diversity Center of Santa Cruz County’s 60Plus Senior Program, which serves our community’s LGBTQ+ seniors.
